Personal tax is a fact of life. If you only have income from employment, then you probably won’t need to complete a personal tax return. However, if you are a sole trader or partnership, have income from property or other assets, earn more than £100,000 through employed income, or earn more than £50,000 through employed income and claim child benefit you will need to report your figures to HMRC and calculate and pay your taxes.
The deadline for filing your return is 31st January for the previous tax year (6th April – 5th April) and there are penalties and interest if you file and pay late.
Many people seek help from an accountant to complete their return and submit on time. No-one wants to pay more tax than they need to, so we can make sure that you claim all the appropriate benefits and reliefs you are entitled to.
